Defining Edge Dynamic Duo

Defining Edge Fitness is pleased to spotlight two very special individuals- Britnee and Chris Crawford.

Britnee and Chris are great role models for what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication and how couples can support each other on their journeys to health, performance, and physique.  Since beginning with Defining Edge a year ago (January 2009) Britnee has added an additional 5 pounds of pure lean mass to her frame- a remarkable feat- which has completely transformed her physique!

BEFORE

Weight: 105 lbs

AFTER

Weight: 110 lbs

When Chris saw his wife’s success, he decided to get in the game.  Chris came on as a Defining Edge distance client in May 2009 and has also gained 5 pounds of pure lean mass while also losing 2% body fat.

Britnee and Chris’s Top 5 Training and Nutritional Tips:

  • Plan your meals so you can stay on track
Fail to plan means plan to fail. The great thing is Defining Edge coaching provides us with most of the planning particulars but it is up to us to comply which leads me to Tip #2.
  • Consistency, Commitment, & Dedication
Anyone can train hard and eat clean for a few days but it takes commitment to your goal and daily dedication to consistently apply new behaviors that bring results.  The first few phases of your distance coaching experience should be focused on doing what you need to do. Trust your guides.  The results WILL come.
  • Great music to lift to is a must!
Some of our favorite training tunes:

"Feel Good Drag" by Anberlin

"Misery Business" by Paramore

And you can't go wrong with some good old 80s rock like "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake.

Your training mix can be as varied as the training itself, but one thing has to remain a constant – it must get you fired up!

  •  Know your limits so you can break them and improve on them
This is where a little self knowledge and reflection come in. Spend some time listing your strengths and weaknesses and of course share those with your partner and your coach. You need to take ownership of your limitations and put them out there in order to bust through into new territory.
  • Stay hydrated
This one is simple and effective. Staying hydrated was one of those habits that you just have to do. Many people know they should drink more water, but few do it and even less do it for many weeks or months consistently. Who would have known that something as simple as drinking more water could make such as different with strength, muscle gains and fat loss!
  •

Evidence that consistency pays off

Congratulations Chris & Britnee. We are Defining Edge are looking forward to see what results another year of commitment and consistency will bring your physique and performance.
