Krista Heading to Commonwealth Games?
Krista has just been asked to join the Canadian team for the first ever Commonwealth Games in powerlifting to be held September 5-12th in England! Normally, a lifter has to qualify for any International competition by lifting at Nationals. Because this is the first event of its kind, the Canadian Powerlifting Union changed the rules. The CPU gave consideration to the fact that perhaps some lifters may have attended Nationals if they would have known about this new, prestigious International event.
Krista’s former coach, Bill Jamison, called her with the invitation and she jumped at the opportunity. This is an amazing opportunity and being the first event, it will be historic.
