Ginger Beer Green Tea

Submitted by: Krista Schaus

Here is a very simple recipe that allows you to enjoy a "cool one" on a hot summer day, while reaping the antioxidant and heart healthy benefits of green tea.

When brewing green tea, it is recommended you use hot water that is just below boiling temperature and steep for 2 minutes.

2 cups brewed green tea, chilled
2 cups natural ginger beer (found at health food store)
Fresh mint or lemon slices

Pour 1 cup cold green tea and 1 cup ginger beer into each of two tall glasses. Garnish with mint and lemon zest or lemon slices.
