Makes about 2 cups
1 can garbanzo beans, drained and liquid reserved
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1 clove garlic, cut in half
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
chopped fresh parsley
Place reserved bean liquid, sesame seeds and garlic in blender or food processor. Cover and blend on high until seeds are pureed. Add beans, lemon juice and salt. Cover and blend on high speed, stopping blender occasionally to scrape sides if necessary, until uniform consistency. Spoon dip into serving dish. Garnish with parsley. Serve with pita bread wedges.
